A Quick Hello

Hello everyone! Sorry I haven't written in a few days, but I have had some stuff going on. Of course, I keep some little ones at my house everyday and my own 2 kids, too,which keeps me very busy. Wednesday I got a call from my doctor telling me that I have something called "beta strep" and I have to take some medication to keep the baby safe now and during birth, that's been a real scare. Then my husband got the news yesterday that he has something called edema,which they put him on medication for, and also something wrong with his liver. So now he has to go through some testing to find out what we can do for this issue. Then my mother-in-law came yesterday and is staying the weekend, so that she can attend the baby shower that some of my close friends are giving me tomorrow. I am so excited about my shower, it's going to be so fun. I can't talk long . It is very hard to do anything when my mother-in-law is here so I will have to make this very short. I know that you are all praying for my family and I thank you so very much and I will be praying for all of you! Have a great weekend!

Prayer Request

I have just been informed that my cousin, who was pregnant and having major complications, had the baby last night. She was not due til Oct.10 so needless to say they will need lots of prayer. The baby's name is Adison Wicker. She weighed only 2lb. 5oz. and is on a breathing machine. They are doing pretty good right now but please pray for their cotinued improvement. Thank you so much!

God Is In Control

Good morning! I'm so sorry I haven't written in a while. I'm having problems with my computer so I'm going to try to post this morning if it will let me. I will start by asking for you to be praying for my family. Satan has been on the attack in our lives trying to make us worry about the future when I have the baby, because I will be out of work for 6 weeks. My husband and I know without a doubt that God will take care of this because he always does. He is the provider in all things and we know that, yet satan tries so hard to make us believe that it is us that does the providing. We sometimes try to take control, but in 1 Chronicles 29:11 it tells us that our heavenly Father is in ultimate control of everthing.
I have joined an adult bible study on finances and yesterday really taught me alot. They started out quoting the scripture Isaiah 55:8-9,For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways,declares the lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts. That made me think alot about the way I think of myself. Sometimes we think that it is up to us to supply but in reality we just have to do our part and let God take it from there. One of the scriptures said that in order to become genuine followers of Christ, we must transfer the ownership of our possessions to the Lord [Luke14:33]. It said that the first step in learning freedom is recognizing that God is the owner of all your possessions. One of the statements went like this, "It is comforting for the child of God to recognize that his heavenly Father orchestrates even seemingly devastating circumstances for the ultimate good." Man is that good stuff! Touched right down to the soul! That's like the scripture that says that God causes all things to work together for the good of those who love him and are called according to his purpose,[Romans 8:28]. I am quoting and requoting Matthew 6:33, Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righeousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. One of the last statements was "Small things are small things, but faithfulness with a small thing is a big thing!"
So here's what I ask that you pray for my family, that we remember to give God all that is his[everything] every day without taking it back. Thank you so much for your prayers.

Thankful Thursday

I just want to say good morning to everyone out there in what everyone calls blogdom. Ha- Ha! I know that today is "Thankful Thursday"so here's what I am thankful for today:

* I am involved in a women's bible study with really great christian women who I love dearly.
* I am doing a study for the second time by Beth Moore called "Breaking Free" and learning so much even though I've done it before.
* I had a wonderful study this week on the fact that God replaces beauty for ashes ; it really brought up some stuff in my life that God really needed to deal with.
* I am so glad that God finds a way to speak to the intermost parts of me and uses people and things to help me to grow little by little into what he wants me to be.
* I am so glad that he sees me as beautiful even when I feel like I am the most unattractive person on earth. You know, you do feel that way when you are 7 and a half months pregnant. Ha!Ha!
* And I am so greatful that I am down to only 6 weeks and 5 days. You can laugh but I am counting the days.

I hope you are blessed today in ways that you know couldn't have come from anywhere but Heaven!
* I am thankful
